Accreditation can be one useful verification point, but it does not replace questions about licensing, services, cost, or individual fit.

Verify the organization and location
Do not rely on an accreditation logo alone. Ask for the accredited legal entity and location, then use the accreditor’s public verification resources to confirm current status.

What accreditation does not decide
Accreditation does not guarantee that a program is appropriate for one person, has an available bed, participates with a particular insurance plan, or will produce a specific outcome.
